Biography
British mezzo-soprano Holly Putt graduated with First Class Honours in Music Performance from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in 2022, where she studied with vocal teacher Lynton Atkinson and coach Alistair Young. She currently studies voice under Angela and Roderick Earle and works with vocal coach Nigel Yandell. Her post-conservatoire development has included coaching with Gidon Saks, Alwyn Mellor, and Katherina Megli, alongside masterclasses with Alwyn Mellor and Neil Baker, further refining her technique and interpretive approach.
Performance highlights include Dorothée in Massenet’s Cendrillon with Bedfordshire Youth Opera, chorus in Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas with Opera Asteria, and recitals at venues such as St Alfege’s Church (London) and St John’s College (Cambridge). Holly was also invited to perform in British Youth Opera’s Christmas concert.
Her work has been recognised with Second Place in Ongar’s Essex Young Musician of the Year and three consecutive Chelmsford Educational Foundation Awards.
Known for her precision, adaptability, and collaborative spirit, Holly is a confident performer with well-honed stage movement and physical adaptability. She performs repertoire in English, German, Italian, French, Latin, and Spanish, and holds conversational German. Holly holds a full driving licence and valid passport, making her ready and flexible for international engagements.
